Wound Care services is very proud to be associated with La Vie Care. They specialise in the treatment of all kind of wounds eg: burn wounds, cancer wounds, insect bites, dog bites, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, amputated limbs, pressure ulcers, skin grafts and many more.

Wound Care services is part of a multi-disciplinary team and patients suffering from wound specific related problems are referred to either a Vascular Surgeon, Plastic Surgeon or a Medical practitioner. Treatment can be done as an out patient or when a patient is admitted to a facility. Treating doctors also receive weekly updates on the progress of the wounds.

The success of wound treatment lies in the following:

• attitude and compliance in terms of the treatment;
• consistency of appointments;
• special diet

There has also been great success in maggot therapy, vac therapy and hyperbaric therapy.
